Dr. Nancy K. Napier is a Distinguished Professor Emerita and former Director of the Centre for Creativity and Innovation at Boise State University’s College of Business and Economics. She received her doctorate from the Ohio State University.

Dr. Napier managed Boise State’s nine-year involvement in an $8.5 million capacity building project at the National Economics University in Hanoi, Vietnam, funded by the Sweden and USAID. In 2018 Dr. Napier received Vietnam’s Friendship Medal, the highest award given to a foreigner, for her contribution to building bridges between the countries.

Her most recent books, with a diverse group of high performing leaders called The Gang, include LIVEculture: How creative leaders grow the culture they want and Wise Beyond Your Field: How Creative Leaders Out Innovate to Out Perform. Earlier books on creativity include Insight: Encouraging Aha! Moments for Organizational Success and The Creative Discipline: Mastering the Art and Science of Innovation.

She has published numerous research articles, blogs for Psychology Today.com, and writes a frequent column for the Idaho Statesman. For seven years, she was co-creator and host of Idaho Business Matters, a weekday radio program on NPR News 91.

Marc Cannon grew up in the agricultural and logging based community of Mitchell, Oregon located in rural Eastern Oregon. He attended Oregon State University where he acquired a bachelor of science degree in Forest Engineering. Graduating in 1997, he logged and worked for the Washington Department of Natural Resources before joining Weyerhaeuser in 2000. His Weyerhaeuser career has included a variety of operational roles: Harvest Planning Engineer, Construction Engineer, Contract Harvest Manager, and Company Harvest Manager. Additionally, management roles have included: Area Team Leader and Safety & Operational Manager, and Safety & EMS Manager. Marc lives in Kelso, Washington with his wife Jessica and daughters Cali and Bethany.
