Bryan Lorengo - 2026 ILC President

Bryan’s primary role for KLM includes safety, trucking logistics and KLM's log yard. Bryan was born and raised in Anaconda and spent countless hours in his youth around his family business Lorengo Logging. Since then, Bryan, like most loggers, found his true passion working in the woods and logging. Bryan previous employment includes working for the Montana DNRC as a wildland firefighter, Lorengo Logging truck driver, equipment operator and timber procurement, Lorengo Forestry as the owner and consultant forester and coordinator of a multi county fuel hazard reduction program for private landowner and most recently ten years working for the Montana Logging Association with work in logging safety and federal policy. Bryan graduated from Anaconda High School (1994) and University of Montana Western (1999) with a BS in Elementary Education. Bryans volunteer service included four term as school board trustee for the Anaconda School District and currently serves on the Intermountain Logging Conference Board and the Real Montana Board. Bryan and his brother Paul run the largest cornhole tournament in the NW US and through this most recently started a foundation for charitable giving. Bryan and his wife Kim live in Anaconda and their three children Logan, Carter and Kendyl.


Rob Keefe - 2026 ILC VP

Rob Keefe - 2026 Vice President & Program Chair

Director, University of Idaho Experimental Forest / Associate Professor of Forest Operations at College of Natural Resources, University of Idaho

Develops new research that advances and improves operational forestry. Works with students to manage and administer over 8,000 acres of productive, working forestland in Idaho. Helps forestry students develop long-term careers with timberland owners, consultants, agencies and mills. Facilitates research integrated with active forest management by faculty and students in the College of Natural Resources.


Tyler Roady - 2026 ILC Treasurer

Tyler was born and raised in North Idaho and has been around forestry and logging his entire life. Following in his father's footsteps Tyler received his bachelor’s degree in Forest Products – Harvest Operations from the University of Idaho. Graduating in 2008, during the heart of the Great Recession, Tyler continued to work as a fire fighter for the USFS as very few industry forester positions were available. Then in 2010, Potlatch Corp took a chance and hired Tyler as an entry level forester in St. Maries, Idaho. With the new job lined up Tyler and his wife, Amber, moved to Harrison, Idaho a small-town northwest of St. Maries. Tyler’s career grew in St. Maries, with what is now PotlatchDeltic, as he was promoted to Sr. Forester in 2013, then to District Forest Manager in 2018. Tyler and Amber’s family grew too, with their daughter Claire being born in 2011 and son Weston being born in 2015. In 2017 Tyler was nominated to the Board of Directors for the ILC, where he thoroughly enjoys interacting with other industry members from throughout the Intermountain region.


Tim McEntire

Tim is the third generation of his family to work in the Timber Industry. He currently works for the Montana Logging Association as a safety manager and engaging in federal policy. Prior to working at the MLA, Tim worked for his family logging business for 22 years.


Chad Nelson

Chad is a logging contractor from St. Maries, Idaho.  Starting as a shop kid for a local contractor grinding chains and sweeping floors, he worked his way up to drive truck, and later a variety of equipment.  In 2016, Chad and his brother started Nelson Brothers Timber Management.  Chad operates a feller buncher primarily among his other business owner duties. Chad and his wife, Reva, have twin daughters and enjoy spending time outdoors.  Chad was nominated to the ILC Board of Directors in 2018. 


Ryer Becker

Ryer is the Forest Operations Extension Specialist for the University of Idaho and has been with the University in various roles since 2014. After completing his graduate degrees from the UI, he joined the faculty in 2022. In addition to teaching within the 2 and 4-year forestry programs, Ryer works closely with logging contractors and others within the forest products industry in Idaho and beyond to advance education, training, and workforce development for the forest sector as a whole . Ryer lives in Moscow, Idaho with his wife and two daughters


Gabe Ikola

3rd generation logger born and raised in McCall, Idaho. Gabe has worked many different jobs in the woods including processor operator, skidder operator, log truck driver, loader operator


Bryan Martin

Bryan was born and raised in St. Maries.  He started with Les Schwab in high school.  After high school, Bryan worked for the St. Maries Potlatch mill for 1 year and then transferred to the Post Falls Potlatch mill for another 2 years.  After that, Bryan decided he missed tire work and he returned to Les Schwab and started his journey on the Manager track.  He was promoted to Assistant Manager of the St. Maries store in 2008. In 2019 he promoted to Manager of the Grand Coulee, WA Les Schwab.  Bryan's career came full circle in 2023 when he was chosen as the Manager of the St. Maries Les Schwab.  Bryan has held every position available in the St. Maries store.  He enjoys serving the Logging Community whether it be their skidder or truck tires, or the fleet pickups of the many logging companies in town.  When Bryan isn't at work, he enjoys fishing, boating, and riding dirt bikes with his wife and children. He was voted onto the ILC Board in 2024 and looks forward to continuing to support he ever evolving timber industry.
